Following the rip-roaring success of last year’s ‘Around The World in Eighty Days’, Quirk Theatre Company brings you George MacDonald’s celebrated 1872 fairytale ‘The Princess and The Goblin’ at Exeter Phoenix this December.
Princess Irene needs to face her fears and find a way to save her family's castle. With a little help from her magical grandmother, and quite a lot of help from Curdie the brave miner's son, she might just pull it off.
"Innovative, imaginative and incredibly inventive, Quirk Theatre's show holds audiences in the grip of excitement.” Western Morning News
This will be the ninth year that Quirk Theatre Company has collaborated with the Exeter Phoenix to present a family winter show. Quirk productions are renowned for their ingenious theatrical devices, freshness of interpretation, and simple but stunning costume and set design.
"The work of Quirk and Exeter Phoenix is light years ahead, showing experience, theatrical craft and a detailed awareness of the audience to whom they are pitching the story.” Arts Council England
Owing to the huge demand each year, early booking is strongly recommended.
Suitable for children ages 5 and up. Running time approximately 70 minutes with no interval.
